Your potential is limitless. Let True Vet Potential help you reach it.
The veterinary industry is booming, but the profession is hurting. With the high debt and burnout that plagues the profession, more and more veterinarians are hanging up their white coats. Most of these individuals have dreamed about being veterinarians their entire lives and seeing them leave the profession is heartbreaking.
True Vet Potential is here to show all veterinarians that there is a different approach. By making you and your practice successful, we will also help make positive changes to our profession. By ending practices that are driving veterinarians out, we also ensure the industry has the capacity to meet the growing demand for veterinary services, so all animals get the care they need.
Business and leadership training are scarce in veterinary schools. True Vet Potential bridges the gap by teaching students, as well as future and current owners and partners how to run a thriving practice. In addition to being financially successful, a thriving business allows for healthy work-life balance and supports the growth of the team as a whole, as well as developing the talents of each individual.
Veterinarians are among the most caring and passionate people in the world. Pursuing a career in the veterinary field is not driven by the desire to make money but given the amount of training and work we put in, we should not be ashamed to make a good living. In terms of wages, we fall far behind other professions with comparable education requirements. On average, veterinarian’s income is about 60% of what dentists earn, and less than half of what physicians earn. Increasing the income for veterinarians is one component for improving the overall health of our profession and slowing the exodus.

His interest in business led Dr. True to pursue a Master’s in Business Administration through the University of Illinois, completing his studies in 2023.

Dr. True and his wife, Lauren, are the proud parents of four young children and two vizslas. Vacations are usually organized around the family’s goal of visiting all the U.S. National Parks. Dr. True is also an avid marathon runner and has recently begun running to raise money for cancer and brain tumor research. When Dr. True was 16 years old, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and while the experience doesn’t define him, it gave him a greater appreciation for the many opportunities’ life presents and drives his passion to help others.
